About this site
One of many helpers I have 😸

Hey, I'm Marcin 👋

Marcin with all cats he has ;)

By day, I'm a Senior DevOps Engineer and Cloud Architect with over 15 years of experience wrangling Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure, and helping enterprise clients untangle their cloud deployments. I hold a CKA certification and work with technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps workflows.

By night (and most weekends), I'm a maker, though I'll be the first to admit I came to this late.

Zero Artistic Background. Learning Everything.

Here's the thing: I've never had artistic or manual skills. No art classes, no workshop experience, no natural talent for crafting. Just curiosity and stubbornness.

3D printing became my gateway into making physical things. What started as printing functional parts quickly turned into something bigger - I discovered I could learn these skills. Layer by layer, print by print, I'm teaching myself what others might have picked up years ago.

Now I'm deep into crafting armor pieces: helmets, swords, and props. Every project is a lesson in sanding, painting, finishing, and figuring out what I did wrong last time. Enhaling paints doesn't help ;) Unsticking my cats from paints and glues doesn't help either ;P

Fair warning: not all my work is perfect. Some prints have visible layer lines. Some paint jobs could be better. Seams don't always disappear the way I want them to. I'm learning in public, and that means you'll see the rough edges alongside the wins. If you're looking for flawless studio-quality props, I'm not there yet. But if you appreciate honest craftsmanship from someone who's genuinely trying to improve with every build, simply stick around.

From Cloud to Craft

There's a surprising overlap between DevOps thinking and making: both are about iteration, not being afraid to fail, and constantly improving your process. My background in automation and problem-solving helps, but the hands-on craft skills? Those I'm building from scratch.

What You'll Find Here

Prace (Polish for "works") is where I document this journey:

  • Print projects and build logs
  • Armor and prop builds: helmets, swords, and more
  • Lessons learned (including the failures)
  • Tips and techniques I've picked up along the way

Whether you're a fellow beginner finding your way or an experienced maker with advice to share, I hope this space is useful.

I sell my prints and finished pieces on Polish marketplaces. What you see is what you get: honest work from someone still learning the craft:
